In other news, patients in Singapore could expect to get better care faster thanks to a rollout of a nationwide agentic AI platform. The aim is to help healthcare professionals automate their daily multi-step tasks so they can focus on delivering patient care. Nadine Yam with more. >> Everyday medical professionals struggle tasks from checking on patients to procurement and even rostering. Enter agentic AI now that does half the job. Operating independently, it can document a patient's medical history. >> Easily it's probably halved the amount of time that it takes for me to prepare for for a for a clinic. But on top of that, it's actually saved me a lot of energy, cognitive energy because I think that's the main thing that it takes to run through all of these records. Takes a lot of effort.

>> It's one of more than 12,000 agents now made available thanks to the National HealthTech agency. Healthcare professionals can also create and customize agents with little to no technical expertise required. Developers say there are safeguards in place to make sure any sensitive data like patient information are not compromised. >> We strongly recommend and we have put in place no identifiable policy which is above the norm to ensure that our patient's data are protected and there's also series of cybersecurity controls that we put in place for the platforms to secure the environment. >> As Singapore prepares for a greater AI enabled public healthcare, Senior Minister of State for Health Tan Kiat How says testing, monitoring, and governing these systems must grow alongside the tech.

>> That is what it means to build a health system capable of capturing the value of AI. And part for the past few years, much of our conversation has been about AI for healthcare. The next phase must be also about how we design healthcare for AI. Not designing healthcare around technology for its own sake, but redesigning our healthcare systems to harness AI and realize better health outcomes. >> Mr. Tan adds that this will go hand in hand with investing more in human judgment to make medical professionals more capable in delivering care.
