3 葉漢榮議員詢問通訊及資訊部長：(a) 鑑於新加坡是亞太地區採用生成式人工智慧最快的國家，是否擔心新加坡因人工智慧（AI）導致的失業程度可能被低估；(b) 部門是否會進行評估，以衡量因採用人工智慧而可能導致的失業規模和範圍；(c) 部門如何與利益相關者合作，鼓勵並激勵他們主動投資於員工技能提升計劃，以應對人工智慧的採用。

通訊及資訊部高階政務部長（Dr Janil Puthucheary）（代通訊及資訊部長） ：議長先生，感謝議員提出這一重要問題，並請他理解，這一議題將在通訊及資訊部的撥款委員會辯論中進行討論。

3 Mr Yip Hon Weng asked the Minister for Communications and Information (a) whether there are concerns that the extent of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven job losses in Singapore may be underestimated with Singapore being the fastest adopter of generative AI in the Asia Pacific; (b) whether the Ministry will be conducting assessments to evaluate the potential scale and scope of job displacement due to AI adoption; and (c) how is the Ministry engaging with stakeholders to encourage and incentivise proactive investment in upskilling programmes for their employees in anticipation of AI adoption.
