LADP
LADP (Learners' AI Development Programme) is the "pre-stage version" of AIAP — 16 weeks, shorter, with a lower bar. It is AISG's programme for training "entry-level AI talent"; top performers can move on to AIAP for deeper training.
📖 What it is
Differences between LADP and AIAP:
- Duration: 16 weeks vs 9 months
- Bar: lower, welcomes career-changers
- Intensity: relatively gentle, closer to a "boot camp"
- Output: complete a few small projects, understand AI engineering fundamentals
Positioning: a 16-week trial run for people who "want to switch to AI but aren't sure they can do it". After finishing, the strongest can apply to AIAP; others can also use the project portfolio to land entry-level AI roles.
🤖 Relation to AI
LADP gives AISG's talent funnel a complete tiered structure: LADP (16-week entry) → AIAP (9-month depth) → joining enterprises / AISG projects.
This tiering gives "non-CS background, wanting to switch to AI" people a clear path: try LADP first, then decide whether to commit fully to AIAP.
🇸🇬 Relation to Singapore
LADP is AIAP's "scale-up forward outpost" — AISG uses LADP to reach a wider potential talent pool, then screens the strongest into AIAP.
In the seven-lever framework:
- Lever 2 (talent): broadens the entry point for AI talent
A take: LADP solves AIAP's long-standing "applicant pool too small" problem — by using LADP to expand the potential talent pool 5-10x.
