NAIS 2.0: official introduction to Singapore's National AI Strategy

Singapore launched its first National AI Strategy in 2019 covering healthcare, transport and government services. NAIS 2.0 refreshes that direction after generative AI took off, committing more than a billion Singapore dollars to compute, talent and industry development.

The strategy spans 50 actions: setting up AI centres of excellence inside companies, strengthening the AI startup ecosystem, pushing public sector adoption, updating the national R&D plan, recruiting world-leading AI talent and expanding training programs. It also widens access to high-performance compute, builds privacy-enhancing technologies, secures high-quality datasets and positions Singapore as a reliable global partner on AI governance.
