Hi I'm Gong Hao. I was an AIAP Foundation learner and recently graduated from batch 20 of the AI Apprenticeship Program. I was from a non-tech background and I wanted to pivot into AI engineering. I chanced upon AIAP which trains AI engineers and thought that would be my next step. I almost didn't sign up for AIAP. I kept thinking that I'm just not technical enough for it. First seeing the TA, I felt like I needed more help. Then I discovered the AIAP Foundation and it showed me exactly where to start. The fundamentals were explained in a way that made sense to me with real examples that showed me when to use the different AI techniques and how to apply them. There's also reference code so I could focus on understanding the concepts and how the code was structured.
The assignments and also the personalized feedback gave me the reassurance that I was on the right track and helped me self-check how much I actually understood. Am I glad I signed up? Definitely. It gave me a solid foundation in the fundamentals and prepared me to pursue AIAP which has led me to become the AI engineer I am today. If you're hesitant that you're not technical enough to pursue AI engineering, AIAP Foundation is a great place to start.
