About
Ng Cher Pong has been Chief Executive of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) since November 2025, and concurrently a Commissioner of the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). IMDA is the hub of Singapore’s AI governance — AI Verify, the Model AI Governance Framework, data-centre and digital-economy policy largely run through it — which puts him at the centre of Singapore’s “govern AI through soft law and testable frameworks” approach.
With 30-plus years in public service, he was previously CEO of the National Library Board and founding CEO of SkillsFuture Singapore. This page gathers the policies, public statements and records tied to him — how, at the IMDA level, AI-governance principles become tools and rules.
