Detailed Notes

Google and the Singapore Government (CSA, GovTech, and IMDA) launched an AI Agents Sandbox in August 2025, testing computer-use agents in real public-service settings for about four months before publishing a whitepaper in May 2026.

Three use cases were tested: - Automated QA testing for government digital services. - Automated AI safety testing to reduce the manual effort needed before chatbot deployment. - Assistance for citizens and social workers navigating social-assistance applications.

The official risk themes include human oversight, customisation and control, cybersecurity (especially indirect prompt injection), data protection, and privacy. The sandbox pairs with the updated Agentic AI Governance Framework announced the same day: one is the governance frame; the other is field feedback from government use cases.
