Detailed Notes

IMDA launched the Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI at the World Economic Forum in January 2026, then updated it at ATxSummit on 20 May 2026.

The update is not a new framework from scratch. It folds industry feedback and live deployment experience back into the original framework. Officially, the update incorporates feedback from 60+ organisations including AWS, DBS, Google, and Salesforce, and adds 10+ real-world agentic AI deployment case studies from contributors such as Ant International, CDL, Cyber Sierra, Dayos, GovTech, Google, OCBC, PwC, Tencent, and Workday.

The framework continues to stress that AI agents can raise productivity, but humans remain ultimately accountable for system outcomes. The added cases show how organisations handle practical issues such as multi-agent systems, third-party agents, automation bias, risk tiering, human approvals, and auditability.
