National AI Strategy
NAIS 1.0/2.0, the National AI Missions, budgets and top-level design — the overall framework by which Singapore runs AI as a national project.
Singapore was among the first countries to write AI into national strategy. It published its first National AI Strategy (NAIS 1.0) in 2019, upgraded it to NAIS 2.0 in December 2023 around the twin goals of “Excellence” and “Empowerment,” and in 2026 translated it into four National AI Missions (advanced manufacturing, connectivity, finance, healthcare) under a National AI Council (NAIC) chaired by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. From Smart Nation to the Budget 2026 commitment, AI is run as a national project.
This hub gathers every parliamentary debate on the national AI strategy, the source policy documents, ministerial speeches and the execution tracker — so you can follow how the top-level design moves from vision to budget to concrete missions, and how MPs press and steer it at each step.
