AI in the Public Sector

Government's own use of AI — GovTech products, civil-service tooling and the AI-ification of public services.

The Singapore government is not just AI’s regulator but one of its most active users. GovTech leads in building AI into public services: the government’s own AI assistant, Pair, serves civil servants, and AI is applied to document work, citizen queries, approvals and operations — all on the Smart Nation digital-government backbone. The idea is to get more of government working with AI and lift public-service productivity, while holding the line on accountability and data security.

This hub gathers every parliamentary debate on AI in the public sector, the related GovTech products and policies, and ministerial statements — from government’s own tooling and the AI-ification of public services to transparency, algorithmic accountability and public trust — so you can see how Singapore treats its own government as a testbed for AI deployment.
